Please stop bashing India or any country for that matter. Although I
am waiting for a GC here in America, I always think India is a fabulous
country. There are merits, de merits in every country. But it is people like you who always look at the negative side (according to you that is ) of India and think US has absolutely no negatives that create the wrong perception about India in peoples minds.
Your negativity stems from your low self esteem and lack of self confidence.
Blame your country/system for everything and try to find an escape elsewhere. If you are capable chances are you will succeed any where (Including in India) like many people have.....

2.Your wife cannot work.

1.You and your family will be raised in a pollution free environment.
2.God forbid,if you ever get into an accident the cop would at least write down a complaint.If there is an emergency there would be an ambulance.My father had to go through this unfortunate experience.
3.In India, given the real estate boom , anyone who has land in cities like Mumbai /Pune would rather build a mall or residential complex instead of Schools/Colleges.People are getting jobs now. Have they wondered where their kids will go to school/college? When it comes to getting jobs in India, everyone wants a candidate from a reputed college / university which is usually associated with the number of years the place has been around.
4.If you want to settle outside cities, then you do not have access to the best in education and whatever so called infrastructure is there to offer.
5.Back home, if your kid does not grow up to become a Doctor or Engineer he/she goes so much down in the social hierarchy that it is difficult to imagine.Only careers available are Doctors/Engineers.Last option is to join call center and live a nocturnal life.

6.The job hierarchies in India are mostly namesake , at least in IT. The moral compass of Indian corporate world is pointing directly,constantly, and unerringly to hell. You will notice a "Sir-jee" system very soon after you start working there.
7.On a last note, with a surge in purchasing power it is immature to declare India a developing/developed nation so soon. That tile is at least 500 years away and we have not started making the ground work yet(the Chinese have).

For all the replies to my post. I understand that there are many others in the same situation I am in, who can understand and feel the injustices of this process.
I understand that we made personal choices and we have to take responsibility for our actions, if something is clear is that h1-B is a NON-EMIGRANT visa. I just wish there was more transparency from the USA government when it comes to apply for PR through employment. The backlogs and collapse of the system, only reflect the lack of interest in solving the problem which in my opinion it's also a reflection of the lack of interest in having any more skilled professionals coming to the US.
Most of the participants in this forum are from India. I appreciate your insights and wisdom, you are well known for being spiritual people who work hard through hardships in life. Many of you have left here important advices and I am grateful for that.
Personally I have done my best to live a life outside this green card ordeal. I have moved on trying to live a normal life without being obsessed with this problem, but as most of you know, reality hits quite often and we are reminded of the limitations that our legal position imposes, more often than not.
I am only regret the rude comment of somebody who replied saying " Give up something you don't have? Live a life". It's true I don't have anything to give up and that is the sad part of all this process. The movement EB-2 china gets some times is solely because of the visa number that category gets. This typically happens in the first Q. EB2-I and EB2-C will have different PD's . Some time in 2nd Q or mid 2nd Q, both I and C will have used up their quota and they will continue to have the same PD until the end of the fiscal year as PD is the only thing that matters.
the point was that they if their dates also move to june 2006, then it would be the first time they crossed the jan 2006 threshold.

They may not consider EAD, but if you submit a copy of I-140 they will consider that.
I also had to go thru a cycle of process, but finally they approved on on submitting a copy of I-140 Approval letter

Just did some stats on , did only for texas service center
It appears that Notice Date is immaterial. As long as your PD is current.
So, you dont need to worry, if your notice date is Oct 2007 and TX processing date still shows July 17th. They are approving the cases as long as your PD is current in PD order which makes sense.
I see a case with Nov 12 2007 ND and PD of dec 2002 is approved.
Dont expect any LUD's either, Only suprise email matters....welcome to america, card production ordered.....:D

But he said no LUDs or anyhting of that sort just recieved the magical email one fine day. His case was at Texas Service Center. His PD was Oct 2002 EB2.

It is easy and potentially justifiable to feel some frustration. As it relates to the green card, I am in a similar situation to most who visit and share their views on this board.
I view the Universe and everything that is contained therein to be perfect - there can be no imperfections. I find comfort in that thought and focus my attention on the following:
feeling grateful for all that I have; doing my work to the best of my ability; taking the risks I believe I should take; being resilient; enjoying my life more; being patient; caring more; comparing less
This is merely a statement of my beliefs - this works for me. It is not intended to offend anyone nor is it a solution to anyone's woes.

I-485 Processing would start depending on RD (Receipt Date). But at the time of approval PD should be current and if it is current then the applicant whose RD (Receipt Date) is oldest would get the approval first.

A small but important correction in the above quote. Indian education is not a gift of the Brits. As a matter of fact history of eduction in India dates back to its cultural heritage. Nalanda university is considered to be the worlds first university. Correct me if I am wrong.

I am sure you'll get GC by the end on this year or early next year. I might have called USCIS abt 15-20 times and from what I understand dates would retrogress for eb3 India, but not horribly. My guess in of the total applications in August 30% have older PD 02/03/04. Becuause pf PERM processing majority are 05/06/07.

What spillover for EB3 you are talking about? Based on how they interpreted the spillover law last year, EB3-I can't get any spillover until EB2-I and EB3-ROW is current and thats decade away.
I am just trying to get the facts. I am not against EB3-I as I myself is EB3-I and waiting for my turn since last 7 years.

I Agree with you, EB3 I will never ever be current unless there is a resolution or releaf passed by Mr Change (Obama) or his lobby, there is no light beyond this tunnel until we see some releaf which does not look getting this year atleast and may be another couple of years.
Predictions are good to just hear and watch and here predictions are like lovely dreams which will never come true unless untill any big chnage is taken place, and the only person who i have hope with to do something for EB3 I is President Obama.
But he is kind of busy with other important issues and our issue is not that important for him reason may be we are not his vote bank and will get to the curve of getting the GC when we are very close to our graves.
This is really furstating and freinds sorry to express my frustration here on this forum but i am done and just look at my PD Dec 2001 for the past 1 year i hear from my lawyer you are just the next badge and should be current in the next bulletin.
I think we should live everything aside and just do our best at work thats what i am doing and thank god for getting our bread and butter in this economy.
