Yes. That's right. Anyone giving you a different opinion of things, or telling you that you are not headed in the right direction is anti-immigrant from NumbersUSA. The news for you is that you are not headed anywhere? The worst part is you have no idea where you are headed. What is IV working on now? What are the goals for next 6 weeks?
To give you a bad example of leadership, some core member in this thread wanted us to divert our attention from asking tough questions and told us to attack a Berry guy in some other forum. Let's say all 8000 members went and did that. What will that get us? Is that our mission?
A lot of you are living in lala land. If you don't know how much people are disgusted with IV, just look at the contributing members. I have tried to convince people (Indians and some Chinese) to join IV. People don't. They don't believe IV has the capability to get anything done. A lot of people don't care if IV existed or not. They believe that Congress will get to it when it deems right. Core members were asking a few weeks ago if that is the message people are sending. Yes it is. You are reading the message right. I don't want IV to die. I am suggesting people with leadership skills to come forward and get SOME F**KING RESULTS. That is what is needed. It is do or die situation.
I am not a leader and I don't want to pretend that I am. I ask others who are not to step down and encourage the right people to take leadership positions. I am a very dissatisfied member of IV. Are you satisfied with IV so far? Why doesn't everyone raise these questions? What has caused us to fail so far?
And for the record, I did pay when IV was formed. I don't want to contribute anything more till I believe in it.

If Senators are not willing to indefinitely extend AC-21 clause due to fears of skewed country-wise immigration numbers then it can be argued that at least to relieve the current backlog the AC-21 can be put for a limited time period ( 5 years or so). this may be a workable compromise if the other goal is difficult to achieve.

I called it took me less than 5 minutes. I expressed my concern and the lady on the phone said she will pass on the message. However the Rep at present has not made any stand. Guys come on make some calls.
To the administrator and the to the Senior members, an idea came to my mid in order to galvanize some lazy members to work with us, can we restrict their entries to this website? Maybe keep something like, access will be granted only if a certain criteria is fulfilled.
It is a shame for all the Indians who are stuck and waiting for others to help them through this, my suggestion either work with everyone on this, or simply just go back to India, where they system is even more corrupted.
Last but not the least, people here are not wasting their time, neither unemployed, but they want to stand a fight for what's right and what's wrong.
I thought coming from India, will make us all stand united, but some people just don't care neither act but complain to god for their grievances.
Guys get up, move, help us out, we all need each other on this. Revolution can only bring a change---- not the wait and not the complaint.

If your statement has been endorsed by the core that they want a million number then forget about this effort.I am feeling sad that i was part of this effort.I am not going to be part anymore unless i see some direct addressals from core to do it hence forth.I wish your million signature drive doesnt drive away many more like me.

As I promised earlier I would keep you guys updated on the process of this case.
On saturday I received the welcome as a permanent resident to USA letter. After trying to get a hold of my attorney I got in touch with him.
Heres the story. (this guy is a genius)
I asked him how it was possible when my PD wasn't current I got GC approval.
His answer was funny and pleasant. Magic :D
He said after the approval of my PERM during filing I-140 under EB2 he also filed a petition under "person with extraordinary ability interest to US" on my behalf. So in other words both the petitions were being processed together at USCIS. Me not aware of USCIS rules wasn't aware of all the lingo so didn't know.
Now the Extraordinary ability petition quota is always current. So when my extraordinary petition was approved the attorney informed the USCIS that to adjucate my adjustment based on this approval. Since the PD was current for this category. USCIS processed and approved the GC based on that. I love this guy I don't have to work for my current employer anymore hence he will get a big surprise when I turn in 2 day resignation. HA...

I am with Company A and my current H1 expires on Nov 2009. I got an offer from Company B and they are insisting to Join with H1B Transfer Receipt ( and not on getting I-797 Approval). Please let me know the following:
1. Can I join Comapny B with H1B transfer Receipt, can Comapany A create any issue here (like if comapany A cancels H1 Visa after I get receipt from Company B)
2. After I join Comapny B with H1B Receipt , and I get 1 payslip from Company B , Can I go to India and Come back to US with Visa Stamped (from Company A) and H1B Transfer Receipt from Company B ( Note I still may not have I-797 Approval Notice)

GCBY3000, I think you are right. It is not all that simple. There are many in the House who can still vote against amnesties. We shall watch and see. I suggest that no one gets too excited about this.
SInce democrats gained the contorl on house, they will wait till the next congress starts to pass releif to immigration issue. THis way, they can take the credit for it and campaign it for their next election. Republicans are stuck now. They neither want to pass it nor want it to supress. They dont want the democrats to gain the credit whatsoever. If republicans cannot pass it this year they will do everything to stop it in next congress session if they have majority in senate. It is vey comlicated and sensitive issue and we have to wait to see how the business people push the lawmakers. None other then business tycoons can make some impact with this kind of power split in senate / congress with a lame duck president for next two years.

I understand your frustration ,When we had to wait for our labors approvals even we have gone through the same sleepless nights and mental frustration.
Why dont you seek IV's help...They are really supportive and this website is a real boon for us all.Today we are able to get updated information of what is going on.
Seek their help...I beleive IV willd defnitely help in this issue.
By suing I dont know how far its going to help as they have clearly mentioned Sep07 for all traditional cases.Seek help from IV.

Based on the instruction of the paper file EAD, you can file your application based on the state you live in. it is either nebraska or texas.

I am confused on address fro mailing....
I live in PA and 485 pending at Nebraska...whereas EAD was issued last time from California...
