How Senator David Vitter (R-LA) is still in Congress after his prostitute scandal escapes me. If his latest legislative effort is some kind of attempt to redeem himself with voters, he's living in a very warped world. Vitter is proposing to cut off funding for the 2010 Census unless the survey checks the citizenship of all people responding. I was wondering if there is a way to efile for renewal of EAD & AP or do we really need a lawyer. It is turning out to be too expensive to file for a renewal through my comany lawyer. If it is possible, can someone who has already self filed advise of the procedure?

I'm trying to figure out how to make a 3d vector animation of a person walking or dancing. more specifically, the outline of a person walking/dancing.
I've seen this before on other sites, but can't remember where. sometimes it's the 3d outline animation, sometimes its asingle-color 2d animation. does that make sense. I'll try to post an example if I find one.
Anyway, does anyone know this process or know of a place that shows how it's done? thanks.

Our son was out of the country when we filed our 485 on July 2nd. Now he returned to US, how shall we file his AOS? Form I-485 or anything else? Shall we include a copy of our filing inside?
In addition, the I140 was approved after we filed. And the principal applicant went out of the country and applied H1 visas and returned also.
Shall we include the updated information of the principal inside or just the copy of the original filing?

Yes, you should be able to get a 3 year extension assuming your priority date is backlogged.

hello! i overstayed my visa by several years, left , and was able to get a new tourist visa and enter the u.s.
after leaving the u.s, on return,i was denied enterance, removed and banned for 5 years. my boyfriend lives in u.s, he's a citizen. is a fiance visa helpful to allow me in until we get married? is there even a chance? or do we need to marry outside of the u.s in this case? thank you!

Hai..
My OPT ends dec 08 and my H1 got selected in lottery but received RFE in Oct and case is still pending. Can I go for OPT extension right now as there is just 1 month time to file it?? Or should I go for premium processing of H1 and then go for OPT extension filing depending on H1 case result??
If I go for OPT extension right now even when H1 case is pending,
1)What happens to that OPT extension case if H1 gets approved?
2)What happens to that OPT extension case if H1 gets rejected?

I resigned my job last year on Dec 15th 2006 by giving my employer a 2 weeks notice (dec 29th was supposed to be the last working day). A week later, i informed my employer that i won't be leaving them at which time, he suggested that i continue working as normal and that he would take care of un-doing the paper work. They had sent out a letter to INS to revoke my 797 even before my last working day with them. The HR contact has failed to follow-up and inform the INS of this development and am told last week that i have been out of status for 10 days now (March 10 was the day INS revoked my H1b). The company has accepted responsibility for this mess and are filing an accelerated H1b (premium) application this week. I had continued employment this whole time and never had any break in my payments. Are there any chances the INS won't put be back on H1 status with my company ?.

I am an employee in a TARP company and according to the company rules, I must be given a notice (of 2 months) before being Fired/laid off. I was hired on H1-B and the company has processed my I-140 and waiting on my priority date getting Current.
My H1-B has to be extended now and the company's lawyers say they have not yet decided about their policy on H1-B extensions. It is expiring in the last week of this month and they have not filed yet nor they say they won't file.
According to the rules, can they just say that they will not be filing my H1-B extension as the company policies have changed? But I am still an employee, and this way I will not be given my notice period. Any suggestions please.

If you travel before the advance parole document is issued, your application will be deemed abandoned if:
A. You depart from the United States; or
B. The person seeking advance parole attempts to enter the United States before a decision is made on the application.
My question:

I got an LUD on my I140 on 07/28/07. There is no message change though. This I-140 was approved way back in Aug 2006. I have filed my I-485 etc on June 1st 07, and its in process. Does anyone know what doesn this LUD mean.
